The cool guys behind Maybe Sammy in Sydney, Australia, the only Aussie bar to make it in the World’s 50 Best Bars 2019, shared the recipe for one of their most popular cocktails. The Lady Luck is a fruity, crowdpleasing cocktail fragrant with notes of mango, orange, maraschino, and refreshing thanks to apple and lemon juices. It is served with no fancy garnishes, but at Maybe Sammy, the guys will bring you a little hand cream in a fancy container for you to ‘flavour’ your hand. Smell, as you sip – it’s all about the experience.
- mango vodka 30 ml
- Maraschino Liqueur 10 ml
- Cointreau 20 ml
- Pink Lady apple juice 20 ml
- Lemon Juice 20 ml
- Egg Whites a small dash
- Soda to top
- Add all the ingredients except for soda water to a shaker with ice.
- Shake vigorously and strain into a highball glass. Top with soda water.
Note:: That mango-infused vodka can be achieved by adding dried mango to a vodka of your choice: think 100 g of mango for every litre of vodka. Let it do its thing overnight, remove the mango, and drink at your pleasure.
