Air Fryer Miso-Glazed Salmon

Air Fryer Miso-Glazed Salmon is a delightful fusion of simplicity and bold flavor. Each salmon fillet is coated in a glossy miso glaze that caramelizes beautifully during air frying, creating a tender, flaky interior and a slightly crisp exterior. The rich umami notes of miso are balanced with a hint of sweetness, making every bite deeply satisfying. Served alongside fluffy white rice and vibrant steamed broccoli, this dish offers a wholesome, well-rounded meal that feels both elegant and effortless. Perfect for busy weeknights or a light yet indulgent dinner, it’s a modern take on a classic Japanese-inspired flavor profile.

Ingredients

  • 2 (6 ounce) salmon filets
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon white miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes
  • cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Place salmon fillets in a flat dish.

  2. Whisk brown sugar, miso paste, soy sauce, and chili flakes in a bowl. Pour mixture over salmon fillets. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Spray basket with cooking spray.

  4. Using tongs, place salmon filets skin side down in the basket of the air fryer, making sure to reserve the excess marinade. Cook 4 minutes. Baste filets with reserved marinade and cook 4 minutes more.
