The Maple Pancake Shot is a delightful, dessert-inspired cocktail that perfectly captures the warm, sweet flavors of a classic pancake breakfast — without the fork and plate! Smooth, buttery, and lightly sweet with a hint of maple syrup, this mini cocktail combines the richness of whiskey with the creamy notes of Irish cream and the nutty sweetness of butterscotch schnapps. It’s the ultimate brunch shooter — quick to make, fun to serve, and guaranteed to surprise your guests with its pancake-like finish.
Ingredients
- 2 strips bacon, cut in half
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 4 fluid ounces whiskey
- 2 fluid ounces butterscotch schnapps
- 1 cup orange juice
Instructions
-
Add bacon to a skillet over medium heat, and cook until nearly crisp, about 7 minutes. Pour syrup over bacon, and cook until syrup is reduced, about 30 seconds more. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Syrup will harden like candy.
-
Pour 1 ounce whiskey and 1/3 ounce butterscotch schapps into each of 4 shot glasses.
-
Pour 2 ounces orange juice into each of 4 shot glasses or small glasses. Serve each whiskey shot with a shot of orange juice as a chaser, and a piece of bacon on the side.
